Recent News
The run is part of a busy programme of marathons and half marathons which Joe is undertaking across the world in the next year to prepare for the “Marathon De Sables” (the Sand Marathon) in Morocco, a relentless six marathons in six days race across the desert in gruelling conditions recognised as the most challenging endurance event in the world.
Joe is working with the British Lung Foundation in order to raise awareness and funds for research into Lung disorders, including asbestos conditions.
Over the next year Joe will run in races in Chicago, New York, Dublin and the Himalayas in preparation for the main event, taking in several continents and world class running events, raising awareness of the work of the British Lung Foundation and the plight of asbestos victims.
Merseyside is regarded as one of the country’s black spots for asbestos exposure and statistics reveal an alarming trend with mesothelioma, an asbestos linked cancer on the increase.
J M Skinner & Co is a local Merseyside practice that has acted for many asbestos claimants and their widows in recovering compensation for workers from a variety of industries including, Dock work, Shipbuilding, the Construction industry and Power Station workers.
